INDÚSTRIA DE MÁQUINAS MIRUNA was founded in Brazil in 1950, and since that time the company has been producing high-quality wire stitching machines. With the gradual development of world markets, MIRUNA has diversified its machinery production to meet the changing needs of printing and manufacturing industries. It now produces wire stitching machines for corrugated and wooden boxes, and for furniture. More than 10.000 machines have been sold world-wide.
In 1980 MIRUNA began manufacturing stitching wire. Made from virgin, not recycled steel, the quality of Miruna's stitching wire meets rigorous international technical standards. Both round and flat wire are available, either galvanized or coppered, in gauges ranging from #20 to #26. It is supplied on plastic spools from 5 to 70 lbs. In 1989 The German firm BeA chose MIRUNA to be the sole Brazilian distributor of its hand-held staple and nail guns. MIRUNA has since added staples and German pneumatic fasteners to its product line.
In 1995 MIRUNA formed a patnership in the United States, and created the firm MIRUNA USA, LLC. Located in Seattle, Washington, MIRUNA USA distributes stitching machines and wire throughout the country. Representatives and distributors are located in Mexico, Panama, Venezuela, Suriname, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Uruguay, Portugal, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Korea, Trinidad - Tobago, Canada, Argentina, Paraguay, Israel, Jordan and Egypt.
BeA - stands for stapling and fastening all over the world.
The International firm BeA, with its hearquartes in Germany, is present in more than 40 countries, represented by its subsidiaries and branch offices. The group´s specialization in the equipamente standards and the quality of its products have turned the BeA Group into a synonym for fastening and stapling all over the world.
The technical assistance, post sale, guarantees safe performance and confidence in Miruna´s and BeA´s systems.
And lastly, in early 2001, Miruna accepted an invitation to complement its line of products in the graphic binding segment. At that time Miruna formed its second Joint-venture, with Drahtwerk Friedr.Lötters &Co.KG of Germany, creating “Lötters & Miruna Arames Ltda” to produce nylon-coated wires of various colors and diameters.
